New Service Requirements

Start / TRANSFER Service

To start your service, please come to:
Sweetwater Utilities Board 
400 Hwy 322 E 
Sweetwater, Tenneessee 37874

We will need the following items:
Picture ID for any customers name on the application
Warranty Deed for home owner or lease agreement for renter
Completed Application for Service
Telephone Authorization Form
Gas Form (if applicable)
Residential- Services may require a $300.00 deposit based on the results of a credit check
Commercial- Services will require a deposit of 2 times the highest bill in 24 month history
$20.00 connection fee will be added to each account on the first billing cycle

*With a new build, we will need electric permits, HVAC permits and any fees associated with running electric, water, sewer or gas. You may rent a temporary service pole from Sweetwater Utilities Board during the construction period or use your own construction pole.

If we do not receive all of the above information filled out completely, this will delay the activation of your services. Also, please note the date you would like the services put in your name. Our business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Once your account is established, should you have any billing questions or need further information, please call the business office at 423-337-5081 option 3. This email is for new service or new construction only and any further email communication will not be answered.
